Believe what you want but they are doing this for the community which happens to bring in the cash. I've seen it to several games as of recently that were suppose to come out but people gave it so much hate before it could be released that the game flopped and was never released.Īnywho that's not the point. People tend to pass judgment on games before they come out based on what the company says about it and believe it or not if that fails the game will crash and burn. I know it's for the money but it's also for the community becasue without the community there'd be no Skyrim SE. You have to remember, there is Bethesda the developers, Bethesda the publisher, and their corporate overlords ZeniMax Media. I prefer it over the original 32-bit crashfest. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate on the Special Edition like these other idiots.

They want everyone on Special Edition only. Hiding the original Skyrim from the Steam store is shady as well.

Of course that comes with the 64-bit engine and post-processing upgrade because that is what the updated engine is from Fallout 4 that they moved it to, which was also required for the Creation Club implementation. They re-released it to sell it again on newer consoles and to incorporate the microtransactions. They didn't re-release Skyrim for the community at all. So, what isn't fair to say? They aren't doing anything for anything other than money, no company does.
#Skyrim pc game consol mods
I can garentee you that Bethesda is fully aware of Nexus and knows people can get their mods for free.

I know it's hard to look at it that way because obviously the company wants your money. When you give a game money it's showing support and love for the game. All the Paid CC is are CC with Bethsda label on it. Everything in CC you can find some where in nexus. None of the CC does anything to alter the gameplay drasticly. Though think about it in a different perspective. Keep in mind that Bethesda is still a business and money is gonna be there. SE does run smoother and what not making it nicer to play. I think they had the player base in mind AS well as money. Second a very large amount of people still played skyrim. First off everything runs on 64-bit now and upgraded graphics and what-have-you. It's a good thing, even if their main purpose for doing it was clearly to incorporate microtransactions.
